The Association of Ecological Agro Producers Machu Picchu was founded on November 25, 2015, when eight coffee growers joined together in response to challenges facing coffee in the region. Since then, the organization has expanded to include more than 500 producers who contribute to its ongoing growth and development.

Today, APAE Machu Picchu’s members are spread across the districts of Perene, Río Negro, Pichanaki, and Río Tambo, within the provinces of Chanchamayo and Satipo in Peru’s Junín department.
